2. Make Space For Play
2. Make Space For Play (Image 2 of 18)
There's no getting away from it, boys are messy. Not like girls' (who can be chaotic, too, when they're in the mood), boys tend to like getting all their toys out in one go and playing with everything at once. So, give them the room to do it. Ideally, of course, we'd all have a playroom (staffed with nannies and child psychologists), but in reality, the best they're going to do is a corner in their own bedroom. This being the case, go mad for practical furniture in which you can store away as much as their stuff as possible - be it clothes, artwork or toys. Where to shop? This Mammut range is from Ikea, and it's brilliant both in terms of price and practicality. As for colour scheming - the brighter the better. Kids' rooms should be fun and welcoming.
