German manufacturer Alape has launched a unique basin-less glassed steel washstand which accommodates water flow from its surface-mounted tap onto a completely flat surface then drains it outwardly towards a gap that is discreetly placed around the inner edge. Mark Booth, UK Marketing Director for Alape comments, 'Though a highly desirable piece visually, at first glance Betty Blue (above) appears to be quite a simple white washstand. However, the patented principle of this system tells another story. This progressive new washstand can be positioned anywhere within a room, is extremely durable and aesthetically unique.'
