Some 'apps' (also known as 'mini applications') can only be used with certain handsets - for example, Apple has the Apps Store for iPhone (right) and iPod touch; Nokia has the Ovi Store; Blackberry has App World and Google Android phones have Android Market.

You can either download the apps directly from your mobile device or go to an online app library, such as Getjar.com or Handango.com, to check the compatibility and download accordingly.
