  1. Wow finally a description of those symbols. These guidelines are not only good for washing but also for when you are purchasing. If there are too many requirements for a garment it helps to know before you get it home and have to wash it!

  2. Hi i have lots of trees and bushes round my house so i get alot of insects and i need to no how to get rid of them i did see a show where you did it but i missed when you said what it was you used. Thank you

  3. We have bought a new sink and toilet but it has sticky transfers around the sink and pedistal but we are finding it very difficult to remove. The sink is porceiline and the transfer is very thin yellow plastic, it doesn't appear to be sticky. The best way at the moment is either using a razor or an huge amount of nail varnish remover. Have you any ideas??? it would be much appreciated. JB

  4. Dear Kim and Aggie, I live in a hard water area, and my towels are always rock hard. Can you tell me please what I can use to get my towels nice and soft. Many thanks Catherine

  5. Google - and you are told Channel 4 has put together a comprehensive guide to washing symbols, great. Your Drip Dry description says "Usually accompanied by do not wring symbol." So - where in the comprehensive guide is the "do not wring" symbol?

  7. How do I get my cotton acrylpink jumper back to its bright colour as it has got discoloured and gone very grey. Thanks Jill Hornby
