Scrape off as much as you can with a blunt knife, then rub fabric against fabric with a little soap or washing-up liquid, and wash as usual.

If the stain persists, try a proprietary stain remover. Dab non-washable fabrics with methylated spirits.

Try using petroleum jelly on lipstick marks before they go in the wash.

  3. i've just moved house and the past owners had tiled greyish blue tiles all through the house, i noticed in a small patch the grout was light grey to match the tiles but the past owners have varished over all the tile area making it look an awful dirty orange colour and the grouting is pure black now, please i need your help, how can i removed this dreadfull varnish that makes my floors look so filthy and the black colour where it is grouted!!

  5. my 2 year old son drew on my wallpaper with lipstick any help and advice as watch your programme all the time and as of yet not tips has been on for that one
