Most are washable, so all is not lost.

Blot up as much as you can with kitchen towel then wash as usual. Use a proprietary stain remover on stubborn marks.

If you get felt-tip pen on fabrics and clothes, rub milk on the stains and rub. Then wash on a 40 c and the stain will disappear.

Always check manufacturer's instructions first. Always try a test patch first. If you are unsure as to whether the item you are cleaning is suitable for our instructions, take professional cleaning advice first.

  3. this is a great technique - get a really strong smelling perfume (one that you don't like) and spray on a stain ( can be coffee, tea, pen) and leave for 30 secs - after that rub the surface hard with a damp disposable cloth - if stain isn't that serious mix the perfume with water - this will dilute it. Also if the stain is very big -spray the disposable cloth with the perfume - not water (it will make it more dilute) it really works - it does take a bit of elbow grease through -sorry!
