Candle wax on the carpet is the price you pay for all that ambience.
From carpets, fabric, upholstery: Harden the wax by pressing ice against it. Scrape off the wax with a blunt knife, then cover what is left with a sheet of kitchen paper and ironing over the top with a cool iron. Do not touch carpet fibres directly with the iron.

Remove any remaining marks on carpet or upholstery with a dab of methylated spirits (test on an inconspicuous area first), and wash fabric on the hottest setting it can stand.
From wooden surfaces: Chip off the wax with a plastic spatula, then wipe down with a clean cloth. Metal polish rubbed along the grain should improve heat marks.
For getting wax out of carpets, or other surfaces, use either a brown paper bag or kitchen roll, and gently iron with a warm iron over the wax, it should lift the wax right off.

For candle wax, get a hairdryer on medium to high setting, 'blow dry' the wax while dabbing at it with a paper towel, this only takes a few minutes.

Always check manufacturer's instructions first. Always try a test patch first. If you are unsure as to whether the item you are cleaning is suitable for our instructions, take professional cleaning advice first.
