5. Hand sanitiser - who would have thought?!?! It's fantastic, I have just managed to take ballpoint off a maple side table after trying Cillit Bang, Hairspray and various other cleaners. It simply melted off. Thanks for this great trip.

7. My son scribbled on my new micro fiber sofa with a blank pen. I was horrified so I goggled it and was told to use hand sanitizer. It worked GREAT!!!!!!!!! It was like magic, as soon as I rubbed it on, the ink disappeared.

8. hand sanitizer is a good way to remove the paint and/or the gloss finish as well...magic eraser works surprizingly well. Use it really wet (but not to dripping) in ong even gentle strokes (do not scrub). Follow with a damp rag.

11. To remove pen from a painted wall, use hand sanitizer and a soft baby toothbrush. Put a little sanitizer on the toothbrush and scrub until the ink melts away. Wipe with a lint free cloth. It comes right off.
