Do your flowers justice with a nice clear vase.

Clean narrow vases: Get into narrow necks with a bottle brush and clean out with warm, soapy water. If this won’t work, dissolve a couple of denture cleaning tablets in the vase. Leave it overnight, then rinse.
Remove scuzzy marks from the inside of glass vases by filling it with vinegar and a handful of dry rice. Slosh it around and leave it overnight, then rinse with hot, soapy water.
USE A STERILISATION TABLET (LIKE FOR BABY'S BOTTLES) TO CLEAN AWAY SCUMMY MARKS AT THE BOTTOM OF VASES.

If you have a thin or long vase and no sterilizing tablets (ace tip!) then get a handful of (raw) rice and swill / shake in the vase with some warm water & vinegar.

You can use Alka-seltzer to clean a lot of things. Leave them in about an inch of water in a bowl and then use it to clean up metal items, vases, even jewellery.

To get rid of the unsightly build up at the bottom of a vase, add a few drops of automatic dishwasher detergent and fill with hot water, soak overnight, then rinse.

Always check manufacturer's instructions first. Always try a test patch first. If you are unsure as to whether the item you are cleaning is suitable for our instructions, take professional cleaning advice first.
