Tougher than it looks – it’s alright for cows, isn’t it?

Leather furniture can be kept looking tip-top with regular vacuuming. A wipe over with a damp cloth with remove any surface grime and you can polish up the hide with a solution of two parts linseed oil and one part vinegar – test on a hidden area first to be safe. Tougher stains will need to be tackled with a specialist cleaning product.
Kim had a tip on a recent show about using saddle soap to clean leather sofas. You can also use facial soap- anything that isn't going to dry the leather. Be sure to go back over it with a moist towel to remove the soap, as the residue can attract dirt. Then condition it with a product made for leather. That should have it looking great!

I clean my brown leather sofa using a white cloth dipped in olive oil and white vinegar. It comes up like a new sofa. Buff with a piece of dry kitchen roll, this also removes excess oil.

I had a red wine stain on my light ivory coloured leather sofa we had a few people over and the wine wasn’t noticed until the next day. I used lemon Cif on my sofa to remove a wine stain and wiped it off with a baby wipe. I regularly clean it with a lemon and always wipe it off with a baby wipe. This has completely removed the stain with no hard rubbing needed, it keeps it nice and fresh also.
