Not so cosy for your toes when it’s clogged up with jam and biscuit crumbs is it?

Every week: Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum.

Coffee Stain Carpet. How To Clean Carpets.

Carpet spills:If the spill has just happened, scrape or blot it away immediately, then dab with a white cloth or white paper from the edge of the stain towards the centre. Do not rub! If the spill leaves a mark, dab first with clean water, and if that isn’t enough try a mild solution of laundry fluid.

Look at the Stains section for targeted cleaners for different types of stain.

Clean a grubby carpet with a steam cleaner or carpet shampooer, which you can hire or, better still call in someone in to do it for you.

Great tip...!!!! If you have a animal and they like to make a mess on the carpet, to get rid of the smell pour soda water on the stain put a towel (pref white) over the top and stamp on it for a couple of seconds... repeat it till the towel becomes clean...

Wash bad spots in the carpet with cheap shaving cream, let dry and vacuum.

To get marks out of the carpet after any type of furniture has sat on it, put an ice cube on the mark and the carpet pops back up.

For spots on carpets, spray the area with Club Soda, wait a couple of minutes and blot with a towel... Repeat if necessary... The club soda will bubble the dirt to the surface and then you will wipe it away.

Instead of using an expensive solution for carpet steam cleaners try this Carpet Cleaner For Steam Cleaning Machine: 1/4 Cup lemon-scented ammonia, 1/4 Cup white vinegar, 3 Tsp ivory Joy dishwashing soap (non -moisturizer) -or any clear Joy Hot water. 1- Stir together the first 3 ingredients into a large (gallon-plus sized) container. 2- Add water; enough to equal one gallon. 3- Follow steam-cleaner manufacturer's directions for operating instructions.
Posted by bethaliz6894

Always check manufacturer's instructions first. Always try a test patch first. If you are unsure as to whether the item you are cleaning is suitable for our instructions, take professional cleaning advice first.

  2. Febreze works well at getting rid of the smells, just spray the carpet so it is damp and leave it to dry. It helped me out. Though does any one have ideas how to get blusher out of the carpet?

  4. To remove pet pee/urine stains from a carpet, the best method I have found is to use a sponge cloth. Place the cloth over the area and stamp on it to absorb as much as possible. Once you have done this use an enzyme cleaner to remove and remain odur or staining. Enzyme cleaners work best with urine stains as they actualy break down the bacteria and dont just mask the odours. This is especialy important with pets as if the scent remains they may choose to mark the same area.

So he keeps picking them up. I have tried cleaning the carpet with hot soap water etc... but i dont think it has worked. I don't have the money to buy expensive products so what would u suggest? Thanks
