Keep your hob sparkling and no-one will find out about the midnight fry ups.

Ceramic and induction hobs are vulnerable to scratches, so don’t scrape the surface or use anything abrasive on it. Wipe off spills as soon as possible (especially sugary ones) and work off burnt-on gunge with a special plastic scraper. Follow manufacturer’s advice on the best cleaner for your hob.

Hob. How To Clean A Hob

Gas hobs can be dismantled somewhat for cleaning – put pan stands in the dishwasher or soak in biological laundry detergent and hot water. The burners can be scrubbed with bicarbonate of soda and water, and wipe down the base plate with warm soapy water. Polish glass or metal surfaces with a microfibre cloth for smear-free loveliness.

For anyone with a stove top mess- use your oven cleaner. Spray it on, follow directions for oven cleaning and wipe off! It usually will clean up the worst messes.

To clean burnt food from under the stove, try a mixture of baking soda, salt, and water. It works wonders as a cleaner, and if you make a separate batch, it can be used as toothpaste, as well!

To keep stainless steel splashbacks and hobs smear-free clean first and then rub over with a cotton wool with a tiny amount of baby oil on it. Gets rid of smear and seems to stop food getting crusted on.

Always check manufacturer's instructions first. Always try a test patch first. If you are unsure as to whether the item you are cleaning is suitable for our instructions, take professional cleaning advice first.
