Aggie says: 'The only thing I know that will remove those black stains in a shower is HG Mould Spray, which also helps to control regrowth. If the mould is on the ceiling, you first need to sort any structural damp, otherwise it will persist. Then treat with Polycell 3-in-1 Mould Killer, from DIY stores. Next, apply Polycell Damp Seal. Then apply a paint designed for moist conditions. Scrubbing grout lines with an old toothbrush dipped in a solution of half bleach, half water is good, but it won't stop the mould growing back. For a more long-term solution, use a whitening product that contains a fungicide, such as Evo-Stik Grout Revive, from DIY stores.'
