Aggie says: 'Tricky, as the grease gets absorbed by the leather and, as a rule, you can only clean stains off the surface of leather and not out of it; once inside, it's a specialist job. Leave the grime to build up and the leather will crack and disintegrate. If it's superficial, you may be able to break down the grease with a cleaner such as LTT Leather Shampoo, £12.50 for 200ml inc p&p from LTT Leather Care. Apply with a sponge and wipe the whole panel gently before removing the foam with a paper towel. If this doesn't work, it'll need professional restoration. Contact LTT Leather Care for firms in your area. To keep furniture looking good, use LTT Lazy Leather, £15.50 for 250ml inc p&p every two to four weeks (even if it doesn't seem dirty). Pay attention to body contact areas. Then treat twice yearly with a leather protector, such as LTT Leather Protect, £15.50 for 150ml inc p&p.'
