When I was a kid we used to bake ornaments in the oven. I'm not talking about Shinky-Dinks (thought those do make fantastic ornaments - if you can still find them). We used to make cookie-cutter sculptures out of unsweetened, unleavened dough. After they were baked we'd paint them with oil-based paint. It was a fun family activity!

What about some foiled Christmas cards to send out, they can look fantastic on the tree as well? Could make a double display with the fake presents and the foiled Christmas cards to make a theme tree? Just an idea. They look great by the way the fake presents! Cheers Gary

I try to buy decorations that will last more than christmas such as wooden hearts or stained glass. That way you can use them to decorate your house all year round or even use them on easter trees or in the garden.
