As attractive and popular as Crete is with Britons, it is far from being the only Greek island (there are more than 160 inhabited isles) that appeals.
Samos, one of the North Aegean islands, located close to mainland Turkey, is less well known presently but that looks set to change in light of a new resort being developed on the island.
