  1. Hi Lucy, We've just bought our first home which needs updating although is habitable and Im quite overwhelmed as to what to do first. We can't afford any major work for awhile and just want to get it "nice looking" but I'm stuck as to where to start. Any tips? Thanks

  3. Hi Lucy I am about to completely redesign my bathroom and am interested in using mother of pearl mosaic tiles, can you tell me where I can buy some affordable (if possible!) tiles in the UK? Thanks

  4. Hi Andy Without seeing it's hard to say... but, yes, I would. Choose a light colour (white/cream/v pale beige) and match it to the walls either side for best effect - should have the effect of just blending it away. Lucy

  6. Hi Lucy, Thanks for the info ! Im in Norfolk and we would ideally want a silver colour metal or even black at a push. Our carpet fitter tells me that door bars have stayed the same for 30 years that he knows of ! I have tried web searches in every wording I can think of but there certainly seems to be a gap in the market !

  7. Hi Sharon You don't say what finish you want, but the Rug Company does a 'posh' range of door bars that are quite nice: http://www.rugsdirect.co.uk/products/door-bars/posh You might find that you need to go search out posh door furniture/carpet accessory shops - there are a few I know in my area but I'm not sure where you are?

  8. Hi...Im hoping you can help me......We have been building our own home now for over a year and are now at the interior design stage. We have managed via the internet to find lots of lovely unusual necessary bits eg door stops from solid stainless steel....but we are stuck completely on carpet door bars ! Do you know of any that are a bit nicer than aluminium ones ??? Thanks
