On the domestic front, the case for healthy family houses was put forward by the Better Architectural Design Association in 1915. After World War II, architects such as Jorn Utzon began to produce open-plan house designs with the irregular footprints, flat roofs, and the large glass facades that we associate with Denmark today. Tinggarden in Herfolge, Tegnestuen Vandkunsten (1978) was a development of small, intimate homes with varied design.
