'I lived in Denmark for 18 months and love all aspects of Danish design. This Lutheran church, on the north edge of Copenhagen, is designed by Jorn Utzon. The acoustics are perfect; it is a pleasure to be in it.
'Jorn Utzon designed another of my favourites, the Sydney Opera House, which - like most buildings - needs to be visited to understand the level of beauty in the detail.
'I remember the first time I saw Bagsvaerd Church I was amazed at the use of concrete to make such delicate and natural forms in the curved, cloud-like ceiling. Every aspect of this church has been well thought out and beautifully crafted.'
