Come Dine with Me

Homemade sundried tomato and olive bread recipe

Zoe starter
Zoe bakes a Mediterranean loaf to accompany her pasta starter on Come Dine With Me Doncaster

Makes 1 loaf

  • 550g strong white bread flour
  • 7g sachet fast action yeast
  • 7g salt
  • 50ml olive oil
  • 200ml warm water

  1. Sieve the flour into a bowl and mix in the yeast and salt. Add the wet ingredients and knead until smooth and shiny, about 8-10 minutes.

  2. Place in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with oiled cling film and leave in a warm place until doubled in size.

  3. Knock the air out of the dough, squashing the olives and tomatoes in. Leave for a further 1 hour to rise.

  4. Preheat the oven to 180°C/gas mark 4. Bake for 30 minutes then cool on a wire rack.

Please note this recipe is the contestant's own and has not been tested professionally. Like the Come Dine With Me contestants, you could be creating a culinary delight or dining disaster, so switch on your ovens and be bold.
