For the mash
Boil the potatoes until tender then drain well. Place the butter and cream in the empty saucepan and warm gently before stirring in the potatoes and mashing until smooth. Whip lightly with a wooden spoon.
Heat the oil in a small frying pan and fry the sausages until golden, about 8 minutes.
Spoon the mash into egg cups and sit a sausage in each to serve.
