Paul Cowan dished up Balmoral steak with whisky sauce on Come Dine With Me Glasgow
Boil the potatoes and turnips in separate pans of salted water. When tender drain and mash the turnips with half the cream and butter. Mash the potatoes with the remaining cream and butter and some chives.
Heat a splash of oil in a frying pan and fry the black pudding and haggis for 3-4 minutes each side until cooked through. Set aside then fry the bacon until crisp.
To make the sauce, heat the whisky in a shallow pan then carefully light to flambé and burn off the alcohol. Stir in the cream and mustard and bring to a simmer.
Stack the black pudding, haggis, bacon, mashed potatoes and mashed turnips on serving plates. Pour over the sauce and serve.
