Moulin rouge chicken recipe

Tori hoped her marmalade chicken main would be show-stopping on Come Dine With Me Derby

Serves 5


  • 4 skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 heaped tbsp marmalade, plus extra for the sauce
  • Large handful of grated cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices Parma ham
  • 1 chicken stock cube
  • Gravy granules, as needed


  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/gas mark 6. Butterfly the chicken then spread the inside with a layer of marmalade and a layer of cheese. Wrap parma ham around and secure with a couple of cocktail sticks.

  2. Place in a roasting tray and add more marmalade and cheese. cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

  3. Lift the chicken out and set aside in a warm place. Add more marmalade and the stock cube, gravy granules and enough water to make a gravy.

  4. Slice and serve with seasonal vegetables and the gravy poured over.
