  • 3 large bananas, sliced
  • 2 tbsp light brown muscovado sugar
  • Fresh cream

For the crumble topping

  • 300g plain flour

  • 100g light brown muscovado sugar
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg

How to make tropical fruit crumble

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/Gas 4. Place the pineapple and bananas in a shallow ovenproof dish that has been lined with butter and sprinkle with 2 tbsp brown sugar. Bake for 5 minutes.

2. To make the topping, rub the flour and butter together until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar and nutmeg. Scatter the topping evenly over the fruit and return to the oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with cream.
