Makes 4-6 jars
Place the fruit in a large saucepan or jam pan. Add the vinegar, sugar, apple, onion, spices, chilli and a pinch of salt. Bring to the boil and simmer for 1-1½ hours.
Allow the mixture to cool then pour into sterile jam jars and seal with a wax disc. Label the jars and store in a cool, dark place.
