I am a composer, and I first joined the database in 2002.
I had some success when a short for which I'd written the score, 'The Dog who was a Cat Inside' by Siri Melchior, was shown on Channel 4, and received a BAFTA nomination.
My next job was directly via 4Disabled Talent - I was put forward to write scores for the series '03 and Me', a series of mid-evening shorts highlighting the 2003 European Year of Disabled People. That was produced by Resource Base, and led to more work with them, notably the educational programme 'Without You' about teenage bereavement directed by Rosa Rogers.
I have since had a varied career, writing music for different genres including full length documentary, short drama, children's animation and idents. In February this year I attended the Berlinale Talent Campus.
I am very grateful for that lead which 4Disabled Talent provided, and believe it is an invaluable service for people with disability working in the arts.
