The S80 has an excellent complement of safety kit, including intelligent front airbags, side 'bags, curtain 'bags and anti-whiplash seats. DSTC dynamic stability and traction control combat skids and wheelspin, helping to prevent accidents. Despite this, the S80's four-star score in the NCAP lags behind newer rivals, although the Volvo has done well in real-world crash surveys.
