Volkswagen Touran (2003-) Review

Category: Compact MPV 3 out of 5

Summary of the Volkswagen Touran (2003-)

Price Range: £16,225 to £17,945

Assets

Easy to drive, loads of safety kit, solid build, excellent suspension and handling, great for towing.

Drawbacks

No character, no single 'must-have' or distinguishing feature, van-like looks.

Verdict

The Touran is immensely competent, but not particularly thrilling; not a car to inspire passion, devotion, or even family fondness.

Volkswagen Touran Review

Running Costs4.5 out of 5

There are plenty of cheaper compact MPVs around, but the Touran feels like a real quality product and, of course, it will hold its value well, making it a good long-term investment.

Standard equipment levels are very good; the basic S model is well-specified and doesn't feel like a cheapo choice and it should prove to give excellent service.
