Huge. Enormous. The R50 drinks fuel at an alarming rate and don't even think that you'll might get decent economy because it's a diesel. The official average fuel consumption is 22.4mpg, but you'll be lucky to achieve that.

The VW isn't particularly clean either: it emits 333g/km of carbon dioxide which puts it in the crippling Band G for road tax. Insurance is in group 19.
