Reputations are powerful things. The pre-facelift Polo was always held up as an example of impeccable quality, but the truth is that the cars were very variable and the interior plastics were dire. This time, everything fits together, panel gaps are smaller, textures are tastier, and you get the Volkswagen-trademark damped grab-handles too.
On past experience, reliability should be good.
