Punchy 1.2 TSI, cabin quality, ride, interior's fine quality, classy looks.
Not as good to drive as the Fiesta, pricey, diesel's long gearing.
Fiesta is more fun, but the Polo is classier and a great all-rounder.

Volkswagen, in the latest JD Power satisfaction survey, ranked an average 13th for satisfaction. The previous-generation Polo itself finished 41st out of 100 - another mid-table finish and one that doesn't immediately bode well for future Polo owners, but the good news is the number of actual mechanical faults reported were low.
The Polo misses some of the style offered by the mobile phone-inspired centre console in the Ford Fiesta, but all models impressed us with their quality, clean and clear design and first-rate ergonomics. Shame not all models get the expensive-feeling soft-touch plastic-covered dash.
