Punchy 1.2 TSI, cabin quality, ride, interior's fine quality, classy looks.
Not as good to drive as the Fiesta, pricey, diesel's long gearing.
Fiesta is more fun, but the Polo is classier and a great all-rounder.

The new Polo is predicted to pick up where the last four generations left off by being best new car investment in the supermini class. Over three years and 36,000 miles the Polo is expected to retain between 44-51% of its value.
The Ford Fiesta range isn't too far off, returning between 44-48%, but buy a Vauxhall Corsa and you can only expect to claw back 39-43% of what you paid new.
