Vauxhall Zafira (1999-2005) Review

Category: Compact MPV 3.5 out of 5

Summary of the Vauxhall Zafira (1999-2005)

Price Range: £16,495 to £24,995

Assets

Brilliantly packaged, lively, well-built.

Drawbacks

Fussy cruising, wallowy ride, dull interior, not as safe as the best.

Verdict

One of the cleverest MPVs, but lacks flair.

Vauxhall Zafira Review

Safety and Security4 out of 5

A three-star NCAP result is a little disappointing; testers criticised the hard dash structure and restraint systems which didn't quite work as well as they should.

On the plus side, pedals disengage on heavy impact, driver and passenger airbags are standard (side-bags are optional), and anti-lock brakes are standard in all models except the base Club trim level. All have alarms and immobilisers.

The centre middle-row seat has a lap-belt only - again, criticised by NCAP testers.
