A particularly pretty shape, rounded but not submissive; great cabin design, lots of space.
Bouncy ride and sloppy handling.
So much better to look at than to drive.

Later Corsas don't buck, heave and flop around as much as the first ones did, but they still have a rubbery shudder over bumps. A long clutch-pedal travel compromises the driving position, but otherwise the Corsa is comfortable enough and bearably quiet.
Air-conditioning is standard on the CDX, optional on the GLS.
There's a surprising amount of space in here, and a capacious boot especially in the upright-tailed five-door. Rear headroom is tight in the three-door, though. The dashboard has a useful storage area on top. All but the Envoy have the RDS traffic news facility and a CD option, and all have a neat remote display.
