Vauxhall claims that the Astra has been constructed using methods calculated to reduce the cost of accident repairs, which could mean lower insurance premiums. Long servicing intervals - two year/20,000 miles on for petrol and two year/30,000 mile on diesel variants - should also reduce overall maintenance costs.
