Category: Large 4x4s 4 out of 5

Summary of the Toyota Land Cruiser (2003-)

Price Range: £40,395 to £56,350

Assets

Toughness, off-road ability, value for money, honest all-round abilities

Drawbacks

Roly-poly on-road ride, light steering, feels dated

Verdict

A great working vehicle for towing, farm work and hard graft, but not the best choice for the lifestyle set

Toyota Land Cruiser Review

Reliability and Quality5 out of 5

The Land Cruiser has always been as tough as old boots and this one should be no exception - these things are virtually indestructible. Toyota has been making Land Cruisers for over 50 years now and knows how to put them together so they last. The new engines are also based on well-proven technology, and the only doubts could be over all the new electronic gadgetry, but even that's unlikely given Toyota's record. The company continues to star in customer satisfaction and reliability surveys, with good reason. The cabin is all well-built and looks durable and easy to clean.
