Toyota iQ Review

Running Costs5 out of 5

With a carbon dioxide rating of 99g/km, the iQ falls into Band A and is therefore exempt from road tax. Under the new bands, to be introduced in 2009 you'll pay zero road tax.

The 1.0-litre engine that all UK models will initially be powered by is also cheap to run: its combined consumption figure is 67.2mpg (60.1mpg for cars using the Multidrive CVT auto).

Company car users, meanwhile, will also pay the lowest 10% tax obligation.
