A real charmer inside and out, very low running costs, genuine space for four adults, good ride and handling compromise.
Tiny boot, rear seats don't slide, limited colour choice.
A charming little city car that reminds us of the original Citroen 2CV with its character and honest simplicity.

Bearing in mind that Toyota is the brand that finished number one in the most recent JD Power consumer survey, the company is unlikely to risk its reputation on this brand new model. And even though it's a joint project with Citroen and Peugeot, the new factory where all three cars are built is a Toyota-designed and managed affair. We have been hugely impressed with the Aygo's quality, too. In fact this feels to us like the best-built A-segment car on the market. The doors in particular close with a solidity you'd associate with cars a couple of classes up. And the interior, while very obviously built down to a cost, felt and looked good in those areas where occupants have the most contact, such as the fascia and seats. The only bits that feel really cheap are the interior door releases.
