Tesla Roadster Review

Safety and Security3 out of 5

It is unlikely that Tesla will ever volunteer a batch of Roadsters to be crashed by Euro NCAP, but the electric sports car has passed all American crash standards.

Helping it pass was the Elise-sourced bonded aluminium monocoque that is immensely strong despite its light weight.

The Tesla also gains the Lotus-developed driver airbag, while the brand has developed and honed its own traction control and ABS braking system.

Anti-skid or ESP is not an option, nor is the usual plethora of airbags.
