Rough ride, whiny, underpowered engine, poor build quality.
The Alto is one of the UK's cheapest cars to buy and run, but that's all it has going for it. Tinny and tacky, there are many better choices.
The engine will be reliable - Suzuki mechanicals are generally tough. Indian build quality isn't up to European or Far Eastern standards though; the interior materials are poor and won't wear well. It should stand up to undemanding low-mileage use within the long warranty period, anyway.
