Rough ride, whiny, underpowered engine, poor build quality.
The Alto is one of the UK's cheapest cars to buy and run, but that's all it has going for it. Tinny and tacky, there are many better choices.
Budget motoring, stripped down to essentials. You get wheels, seats, a bodyshell and an engine - and that's about it.
Worse, it's not even the UK's cheapest car any more. Cheap but definitely not cheerful, the Alto (really an Indian Maruti) has long been outclassed.
