Cheap, and feels it; verve-free and devoid of any charisma, the Alto is outclassed and there are better choices out there.
Funnily enough, the Alto is actually quite a good investment. It's liked by the elderly, especially with the automatic gearbox, as it has a decent reputation for reliability and Suzuki dealerships tend to be small, family-owned concerns which offer personal attention and good customer care, inspiring loyalty to the brand. The Alto's low running costs will also win it some friends in a recession.
