Good value for money; a good compromise between performance and everyday usability.
Feels neither as quick nor as performance-focused as other WRX iterations.
Not the most hardcore of hot hatches, but exceedingly enjoyable nonetheless.

Once the must-have hot hatch, the Impreza WRX and its derivatives are now not as desirable as they once were: Subaru's rally team lost pace, and newer, more headline-grabbing alternatives have emerged.
There's not going to be a lot of takers for a sub-25mpg car in tax band G these days, but with a brand-new asking price of less than £20,500, proportionately not much value will be lost. Expect to get about 35% of the car's original value after three years/36,000 miles. This WRX S should also be one of the more sought-after Impreza Turbo versions, thanks to its good blend of performance and comfort.
