Car-like handling; spacious cabin; decent off-road; appeals to wide range of customer needs.
Bit ugly; 2.0 TDI engine is lackluster.
Yeti's appeal should be wide-ranging, although its quirky styling may put some buyers off.

The Yeti boasts a generous amount of space: there's easily enough room in the back for two adults of average height and the seating layout is extremely versatile. The boot is a good size and if you need extra storage space the rear seats can be folded flat, tipped forward or removed completely.
The driving position is excellent, thanks to plenty of adjustment, and the raised ride-height provides excellent visibility. The seats are also nicely sculpted, offering good support and comfort for longer journeys.
The Yeti feels refined and rides well, even on larger wheels. Our test route offered a chance to see how the Yeti coped with rutted and bumpy roads, and it rose to the task admirably with minimal disruption to the passengers.
At motorway cruising speeds there's very little wind or road noise.
Skoda is yet to confirm UK specifications, but based on European trim levels it should be well equipped. Standard equipment on base models includes height-and-reach adjustable steering, daytime running lights, roof rails, 16" alloy wheels and electric wing mirrors. Upgrade and you get 17" alloy wheels, front fog lamps and air conditioning.
