Skoda Fabia Review

Reliability and Quality4 out of 5

The Skoda badge inevitably means you get Volkswagen quality for less money, which is a good thing.

The Fabia is a bit short of plushly padded surfaces - facia top excepted - but the hard plastics elsewhere are still impeccably moulded, finished and assembled. The seat, door-trim and headlining fabrics are tasteful and durable and the paintwork is excellent, with proper gloss lacquer around the tailgate aperture. Panel gaps are laser-accurate and overall, the Fabia feels solid and rattle-free, if a little dull.

Most of the mechanical and electrical parts are already used in other VW Group products, so they are likely to be sturdy and dependable.
