Safety and Security

Though the Leon hasn't been put through EuroNCAP's independent crash tests, the VW Golf and Beetle - which share the Leon's underpinnings - both scored four stars, with two for pedestrian safety. That's pretty respectable. The Leon should achieve similar results. Standard safety gear includes ABS anti-lock brakes plus driver, passenger and side airbags. Both Cupra models have remote central locking with alarm to ward off thieves, while the latest Cupra R models have the 'Tracker' satellite retrieval kit installed and a year's subscription.
