Robustness of an Audi for Seat money; strong diesel engines; smooth ride.
Offers nothing new; looks bland; competent but uninspiring drive.
If you can look beyond the Seat badge, the Exeo ST drives like a premium estate.

Seat benefits from the premium feel that was originally engineered into the design of the A4. Although the cabin isn't particularly inspirational, the switchgear is ergonomically sensible and the driving position very comfortable.
As you'd hope, there's plenty of room inside, although taller drivers may find the footwells in the front frustratingly narrow. Headroom is good though, especially when compared to rivals with sleeker roof lines such as the Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer.
The boot is decently sized, with 442 litres of space with the seats up and 1,184 litres with the seats folded down. That's not bad, but not as cavernous as the Ford Mondeo Estate.
