Robustness of an Audi for Seat money; strong diesel engines; smooth ride.
Offers nothing new; looks bland; competent but uninspiring drive.
If you can look beyond the Seat badge, the Exeo ST drives like a premium estate.

The previous Audi A4scored four out of five in NCAP crash safety tests. That was a good result in 2001, but the game has moved on since then. The Exeo is yet to be tested by NCAP.
More modern cars like the Ford Mondeo and Vauxhall Insignia may perform better in an impact, but the Exeo still more than surpasses current safety requirements. It wouldn't be right to describe the Exeo ST as 'less safe' just because it's an older design, but just to reassure buyers, Seat has fitted lots of safety kit as standard.
This includes six airbags (two-stage front, head and side thorax, with optional rear thorax and driver knee 'bags), Isofix mounting points for child seats, active front head restraints, three-point seatbelts with pre-tensioners, ABS and ESP with emergency brake assist (EBA).
For security there's an electronic engine immobiliser, central locking and an alarm with back-up horn and tilt sensor.
