Don't even go there. The likelihood of a Drophead owner worrying about how much it costs to fuel, or the environmental impact of its exhaust emissions on the planet, are about the same as our departing Prime Minister fretting about Gordon Brown's personal approval rating: it's not going to happen. For the record, Rolls-Royce says the Drophead will return 18.0mpg on the combined cycle though in a morning of reasonably but not excessively spirited driving in Tuscany, its trip computer owned up to 11.8mpg.
