Sharp drive with Cup chassis, good ride without.
Needs pricey but entertaining Cup chassis.
Misses out on the charm of Fiat's 500 Abarth, but delivers with Cup's drive.

The Renault Twingo breaks Renault's fine tradition of building five-star NCAP-rated cars. Its petite supermini has been awarded four, not the maximum five, stars for occupancy protection. Not a bad effort for the class, but one that sees it trail new competition in the shape of the Fiat 500.
Meanwhile, two stars were awarded for pedestrian safety and zero for child protection. Apparently, Renault was unable to fit an approved child-friendly restraint system at the time of testing.
The split rear seats have a small gap between them and there's a bigger one between the backrests and the rear shelf when the seats are set forward. This all means that the contents of the boot might not be entirely hidden from view.
